Matt Mendez is the acclaimed author of "Barely Missing Everything" and "The Broke Hearts."  Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Matt Mendez resides in Tucson, Arizona, where he remains deeply connected to the Southwest. A military veteran, he holds an MFA from the University of Arizona and has taught creative writing there.
