Christina Baldwin is a pioneer in personal writing and story. Her fascination began as an avid girl reader and as a journal writer who, at age fourteen, constructed a tiny secret annex in her family’s basement to hide her diary. She became an early teacher in the field of journal writing, from church halls to national conferences. She has helped thousands of students claim their life stories. Her titles related to this work are: "One to One," "Life’s Companion," "The Seven Whispers" and "Storycatcher."
In the process of discovery that goes on in writing classes and retreats, she and her partner, Ann Linnea, reached into their Celtic/Nordic heritages to reimagine societal beginnings as the common first culture of circle. For twenty-five years they taught modernized skills of circle practice across North America and around the world. Her titles related to this work are: "Calling the Circle" and "The Circle Way" (with Linnea).
She continues her lifework through her online presence and personal appearances, blogging and additional writing. Her website: www.christinabaldwin.com is dedicated to discussion guides, videos, podcasts and writing about issues raised in her books. She and Ann live on an island north of Seattle, Washington, held by trees, surrounded by salt water, with a view of mountains, and in a community of friends.
