Laura Hudock


Laura Hudock, an associate professor at Framington State University in Massachusetts, teaches literacy and children's literature courses. Her research examines children's literature selected for language arts instruction in elementary schools.

Award-Winning Books for K-8 Readers
This session highlights award-winning books of fiction, nonfiction and poetry for K-8 children. The books were selected due to their appealing format, enduring quality, focus on language and invitation for response. The NCBLA committee will share the books and suggest instructional strategies.
